Every so often, a celebrity engagement ring drops, and the internet collectively loses it. But what’s interesting about 2025’s lineup is that these rings feel different. They’re no longer about shock value or size. They’re about taste, craft, and individuality, which feels very right for where fashion and culture are heading. If you’re here for the inspo or just love a good fashion moment, these celebrity rings have the internet in a frenzy this year, and for good reason. Here’s my top five:

1. Zendaya: The Effortless Icon

Let’s start with Zendaya, who always seems to land exactly where classic meets cool. Her engagement ring, a Jessica McCormack design, features a cushion-cut diamond in the brand’s signature button-back style. The standout detail is the east-west setting, where the stone lies horizontally across the finger. It’s subtle, yet instantly distinctive. There’s something relaxed and confident about the orientation, a quiet flex that says, “I don’t need to follow the traditional rules.” The cushion cut itself has that soft, vintage charm that feels timeless and totally wearable. It’s ticking all the boxes.

2. Taylor Swift: The Vintage Romantic

Taylor’s ring is pure old-school romance. It’s a ten-carat old mine cut diamond set in yellow gold with a delicately engraved band. The old mine cut is having a real comeback. It’s imperfect, traditionally hand-cut, and glows with a soft, almost candlelit sparkle. It’s not about precision; it’s about personality. The larger facets catch the light in a slower, softer way, giving each stone its own quiet charm. That individuality is exactly what people are craving right now, and with lab-grown versions now available, this vintage-inspired style is becoming more accessible to a whole new audience.

3. Selena Gomez: The Quiet Luxury Moment

Selena is another example of refined simplicity. Her marquise-cut diamond set in yellow gold with a pavé band is understated but full of presence. The marquise shape elongates the finger and adds an air of effortless sophistication. I’m getting more and more requests for it, and it makes sense because it’s romantic without being fussy.

4. Dua Lipa: The Modern Minimalist

Meanwhile, Dua Lipa has gone in the opposite direction, which makes perfect sense for her. She’s wearing a bold, chunky cigar-band ring with a low-set round diamond. It’s sculptural, modern, and totally wearable. This is the kind of ring that fits seamlessly into a wardrobe built on good tailoring and statement accessories. It proves that engagement rings can be design-forward and functional at the same time.

5. Kelly Osbourne: The Maximalist

And then there’s Kelly Osbourne, who’s fully embraced maximalism. Her ring combines diamond and citrine in a beehive-inspired design by Mouawad. It’s colourful, creative, and unapologetically personal. Honestly, it’s the kind of jewellery we need more of right now.

The Cut Jewellery

The broader trend? Intentional individuality. We’re seeing a move away from cookie-cutter solitaires and towards rings that reflect personal taste and values. East-west settings are on the rise, yellow gold is in vogue, and old-world cuts like the old mine and cushion are back in style. Lab-grown diamonds are also here to stay, bridging luxury and sustainability.

So, if you’re ring shopping or just in your Pinterest era, take note: the best rings aren’t just beautiful. They’re expressive. They’re less about tradition, more about what feels true to you. In the end, that’s what makes a ring feel like yours.
