The new year usually arrives with loud promises and harder workouts. H&M Move is taking a calmer approach. Its latest SoftMove collection is designed for slower, more mindful movement, with pieces that feel as good during a stretch as they do walking out the door afterwards.
SoftMove is built around H&M Move’s lightest and softest performance fabrics, offering gentle support and easy flexibility rather than compression that demands effort. The focus is on sculpting, alignment and low intensity conditioning, with Pilates front of mind. Think clean lines, flattering cuts and fabrics that move without distraction.

The edit introduces refined details that elevate everyday activewear. Scallop edged trims feature on a deep black SoftMove bra, paired with matching hotpants or flared leggings for a sleek studio look. A twisted training bra stands out as a statement piece, designed to be worn on its own or layered under the new knot top or relaxed T shirt. The colour palette keeps things modern and wearable, mixing black, white and clay with a fresh hit of pistachio.
“I love the idea of bringing your studio practice outdoors in the summer,” says Marie Fredros, Head of Design at H&M Move. “This collection is crafted with refined simplicity and made with our softest and lightest performance materials, so you can stay cool even on the warmest days.”

Alongside the collection launch, H&M is rolling out an exclusive fitness partnership for Australian members. From January, ClassPass will be available to H&M Members, unlocking added value through the brand’s loyalty program. New H&M Members can access an extended one month free trial with 28 credits, plus an extra five bonus credits. Existing ClassPass users who are also H&M Members can upgrade their plan and receive 15 bonus credits instantly.
To mark the partnership, H&M will host a Pilates pop up event at Peaches Pilates through an exclusive member competition. Entrants are invited to describe their ideal way to move in 100 words or less. The event takes place on Saturday 31 January, with eight winning members each receiving a double pass. Winners will be styled in a complimentary H&M Move outfit from the SoftMove collection, take part in a Peaches Pilates class, and enjoy a six month ClassPass membership.

There is also a retail perk for shoppers, with H&M Pitt Street offering an exclusive gift with purchase on all H&M Move buys over $50, available while stocks last.
H&M Move continues to position itself as a movement brand rather than just an activewear label. It celebrates movement in all its forms, offering fashion forward, functional pieces that are designed to be accessible, wearable and part of everyday life, whether that means Pilates, stretching, or simply moving through the day a little more comfortably.
