After two weeks of testing Victoria Beckham Beauty’s Colour Wash Blush Water Tint, it is clear this is not an ordinary liquid blush. It is subtle, polished and designed for people who want their skin to look like skin, just brighter, fresher and more alive. We didn’t want to love this product, mainly due to the price, but spoiler alert, we did!
We have been using the shade Vintage Rose, and it delivers a beautiful berry flush that looks natural rather than painted on. It gives that just-back-from-a-cold-walk glow, soft but noticeable, never streaky or heavy. Even with daily use for two weeks, the bottle has barely made a dent in the volume of product, which means that while the price is premium, it will genuinely last a long time.

What the texture is like?
Colour Wash is water based and incredibly light. The texture feels almost like a a watery serum, gliding across the skin without dragging or settling into pores. You can apply it with your fingers for a more organic finish, or use a small blush brush if you prefer precision. Either way, it blends effortlessly and dries down to a soft, skin like glow rather than anything sticky, shiny or chalky.
A top application tip
This blush performs best when your base has had a moment to settle. If you apply it straight after SPF, a rich oil, or a heavy moisturiser, it can move around slightly. Give your skincare a minute or two to sink in first, then apply Colour Wash. Once it is on properly, it wears beautifully throughout the day without fading dramatically.
How it compares to similar products
If you love Benefit Benetint, Colour Wash feels more refined and hydrating. Benetint is thinner and more stain like, while Colour Wash looks softer and more skinlike.
Compared with Glossier Cloud Paint, Colour Wash is sheerer and easier to control. Cloud Paint can become quite opaque if you use too much, whereas Colour Wash is naturally translucent and buildable. Think of it as a more elevated, less casual version of a liquid blush, designed to melt into the skin rather than sit on top of it.
Who it is for
This blush works best for:
- anyone who loves a no makeup makeup look
- people who prefer lightweight, skincare like formulas
- fair to medium skin tones looking for a soft berry or flushed glow
- minimal makeup wearers who want one product that instantly brightens the face
- those who like buildable colour rather than heavy pigment
If you want dramatic, high impact colour, this is not that. If you want fresh, radiant, natural looking cheeks, it is excellent.
Wear, finish and longevity
Colour Wash sets gently rather than instantly, which gives you time to blend. Once it is in place, it stays put well through the day, even on warmer skin. The finish is neither matte nor glossy, just healthy and luminous, like your skin on a really good day.

The Verdict
Victoria Beckham Beauty Colour Wash feels like one of those rare products that quietly shifts how you think about makeup. It is not loud, it is not flashy, and it does not scream for attention, yet it has a way of elevating your entire complexion with very little effort. After two weeks of daily wear, it has earned its place in a minimalist makeup routine, particularly for anyone who prefers soft, luminous skin over heavy layers of product.
Vintage Rose, in particular, has proven to be a beautiful match for fair skin. It adds life without looking artificial, warmth without feeling orange, and depth without ever veering into obvious blush territory. The fact that the bottle has barely reduced in volume also makes the price far easier to justify, especially compared with many liquid blushes that disappear surprisingly quickly. This is a product you buy once and genuinely use for months.
What stands out most is how forgiving Colour Wash is. You can apply it quickly with your fingers on rushed mornings, blend it out with a brush for a more polished look, or layer it gently for extra glow. It works just as well with bare skin as it does over foundation, and it complements both minimalist makeup and more structured looks.
If your ideal aesthetic leans toward fresh, modern and understated rather than bold or theatrical, Colour Wash fits perfectly into that world. It feels considered, refined and grown up, much like the Victoria Beckham Beauty brand itself.
Ultimately, this is not a product for everyone. If you crave highly pigmented, dramatic blush, you may find it too subtle. But if you want a blush that makes your skin look healthier, brighter and naturally flushed, it is hard to beat.
Colour Wash is less about makeup and more about enhancing what is already there, and in that sense, it does exactly what it sets out to do.
