Aman Essentials has unveiled its first major design collaboration, partnering with British designer Kim Jones and Dover Street Market on a new capsule collection built around travel, utility and understated luxury.

The collection brings Jones’ refined, functional design language into the world of Aman Essentials, the retail arm of luxury hospitality and lifestyle group Aman. Created in partnership with Dover Street Market, the capsule has been conceived as a wardrobe for modern travel, with pieces designed to move between resort life, city dressing, wellness and evening wear.

Rather than leaning into overt branding or seasonal trends, the collection focuses on quiet versatility. Lightweight constructions, tactile fabrics, relaxed tailoring and a largely unisex approach give the range an ease that feels closely aligned with Aman’s broader aesthetic.

A Travel Wardrobe Inspired by Aman Destinations

Jones drew inspiration from his own experiences travelling through Aman destinations, translating that sense of movement and discovery into a modular wardrobe.

The collection spans utilitarian daywear, elevated jersey, knitwear, swimwear, active pieces and silk evening separates. The idea is less about dressing for a single occasion and more about pieces that can move throughout the day, from breakfast and exploration through to poolside afternoons and evening drinks.

Speaking about the collection, Jones said:

“I wanted to do a collection that fits in with the lifestyle of Aman. I love the adventures that you can go on at the properties, especially the ones when you’re out in the wilderness and you can discover new cultures, animals and other amazing things.”

The Standout Pieces

Among the key pieces are the Abaca Utility Vest and Utility Trouser, both crafted using one of the collection’s most distinctive natural fibres. There is also a technical Windcheater and Active Shirt, which bring a more functional element to the capsule.

For everyday dressing, the Beach Polo and Knit T-Shirt offer a softer, more relaxed interpretation of luxury, while swim and activewear pieces are designed to move easily between water, wellness and the outdoors.

Evening dressing is equally considered.

A Draped Silk Resort Dress, Silk Pyjama Set and other relaxed separates bring a more intimate, polished dimension to the collection without moving too far away from the casual rhythm of the rest of the range.

The colour palette is inspired by the environments surrounding Aman properties around the world.

Earthy greens, mineral tones and deep ocean blues form the foundation, while brighter yellow and rich berry red introduce contrast.

There is also a strong tactile focus. Lightweight fabrications, natural fibres and soft constructions are designed to feel as considered as they look, placing emphasis on comfort and movement without losing refinement.
